A lot of people seem to think this awesome hobby is difficult. I’m here to tell you nothing could be further from the truth! If you’ve ever successfully made Mac and Cheese, you can brew a batch of tasty beer.
My home brewing journey started in 2011 with a Mr. Beer kit my wife got me for Christmas. She’s probably still kicking herself for that. While my first batch of beer was far from awesome, it was drinkable and I enjoyed the hell out of doing it. With each subsequent batch I learned new things and before too long home brewing went from hobby to a “little bit” of an obsession. I currently brew small (1-2 gallons) all grain batches on my kitchen stove top and I also dabble in growing hops and culturing yeast.
